About the PTA

What is Borchardt PTA?

The Parent Teacher Association at Lois E. Borchardt Elementary is responsible for numerous programs and activities that enrich the students education. Last year PTA provided a budget of $26,700 in field trip funds. Borchardt students were able to experience many different educational field trips including:

 Sacramento Zoo - Greg & Steve Musical - Children’s Museum - Black Chasm Caverns - IMAX Countryside Farms - Fog Willow Farms - Haggin Museum - Lodi Public Library - Los Banos Wildlife - Micke Grove Zoo Education - Pacific Avenue Bowl - Delta College Theater - Oak Grove Park - Indian Grinding Rock - Twin Arbors

Along with field trips, PTA provided enriching assemblies and programs throughout the year for our students. PTA supplied new books to Borchardt’s library through Birthday Book. PTA events and programs include; Movie Nights, Book Fair, Staff Appreciation, School Store, Healthy Lifestyles, Red Ribbon Week, Life Skills, Krypto Pizza, Juice It Up, Watch DOGS, Father Daughter Dance, testing snacks, and Ice Cream Social.

  • A strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child



Historical goals of PTA

  • To promote the welfare of the children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.

  • To raise the standards of home life.

  • To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.

  • To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.

  • To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
